LJ and Mommy found a new store! :)

Lucy Jane and I have found a new store that we love!  It is just for girls.....and girly girls at that! :)  The name of the store is 'Glitzy Chix'.  You can visit her website:www.glitzychixok.com  You can also view her page on  her facebook page.  Sonya has opened this boutique at her home.  It is absolutely precious inside!  You can tell she has put a lot of effort into making it look glitzy!  Lucy Jane and I made our second trip over today to see if we could find a few things!  Of course, we didn't come home empty handed!  Here a few pictures of our great finds at this fun little shop!

She has adorable purses perfect for the Spring/Summer season!

I'm in love with my new hats to wear this summer!  Perfect for a no-wash hair day or at the lake!

I found a few pieces of jewelry that I thought I had to have!  My mom has always been so good at accessorizing every outfit with just the right jewelry!  I am trying to learn from her! Just a few random pieces that can spice up some outfits!

Lucy Jane got a huge pink flower bow and her very own bracelt!  (Pink and Sparkly....perfect for every little Princess)

If you get a chance, you really should go check out Glitzy Chix or atleast visit her facebook.  She is such a sweet lady and has some really great prices on all her items!

Exciting News!

I have really struggled with what to do as far as being a stay-at-home mom or continue working since I have had Lucy Jane.  I know that God has called me to be a teacher and I also know that God chose me to be the best mommy to my little monkey!  There is no doubt in my mind that my little girl will always know she is loved, be hugged and kissed every day, and have complete confidence that her family loves her and will provide for her......HOWEVER....there are many children that do not have that luxury.  That is where I come in!  I am so thankful that God has told me to love on those children, hug and kiss on them, and give them complete confidence that they have someone rooting them on throughout their journey.

This is my 4th year to teach the fifth grade!  I have LOVED teaching this age group! I have known for a little bit that it is time for a change though!  I am drawn to the little ones lately, and was so excited when I found out there were a couple of openings in our school!

It is finally official that I will be teaching 1st grade starting next year! The group of ladies that I will be working with are amazing.  They work so well as a team, and they seem to have so much fun at work.  I need to have fun at work!  I have already started planning with them and dreaming up how I will decorate my classroom!  This will definetely be a TOTAL change from anything that is familiar to me, but I know that it is without a doubt the right decision for me!

I have a new fire and excitement for the upcoming year!  :)  So thankful for a great opportunity!  (I am a little scared of wetting the pants and eating boogers)  :)

Seeing Bubba at Work (my dad)

Some days Lucy Jane and I like to stop and see my dad at his work after school!  It is always a nice treat to stop in for a few minutes!  Lucy Jane thinks she is such a big girl these days!  It is so fun to watch her! Here are a few pictures I captured of them playing!

Today we went to feed the ducks with Bubba!  The scenery at ABF is beautiful!

Lucy Jane loves her Bubba!  She started calling him that one day and it stuck!  Kinda cute!  :)

Carnival!

Last Friday night we went to the Hardscrabble Country Club for a Kid's Carnival!  Rich's parents were taking our nieces and nephew and invited us to bring Lucy Jane!  We were there for about an hour and she was able to play with her cousins for a little bit!  This was a treat for them and her being as they don't see each other that often!  I snapped a few pictures!

Cousin Charlie came out of the game room to play!
The girls stayed and played the games most of the night! :)
She loved the balloons!
Papa and Charlie! He isn't much into pictures!

Great Weekend!

Lucy Jane has had a rough week which means Mommy had a rough week!  She hasn't been feeling well, but the weather was super nice this weekend, so we had her outside just a little!
Friday night, Rich's parents came over and Rich grilled out for us.  It was nice to sit outside and visit!  I love the time of year when we are able to enjoy being outsidce!  Lucy Jane made it about an hour before it was time for bath and bed!

Poor baby girl smiling even when she doesn't feel well!

MaMaw feeding Lucy Jane supper!

Just about ready to call it a night!

The girls at the table!

LJ had Diet Coke in her bottle! (caffine free of course)

My mom and dad kept Lucy Jane so we could go to church this morning!  So sweet!  After church, we cooked out with some friends!  The kids played so great together!  Here are a few pics!

Sharing his drink with Lucy Jane!

Benchmark testing starts tomorrow! I know my kiddos will do a great job, but it still makes me nervous! So tonight I am making a healthy stress-eating snack!

Hanging Out with Poppy

My babysitter, Missy, took a quick vacation to the beach with her family over this weekend!  (Much deserved by the way)  She keeps 5 kiddos and they are all 2 months apart!  She is such a blessing to our family!  I can't sing her praises enough!  Lucy Jane loves her and her friends that she plays with while she is there!  Anyway......so I needed a sitter for today!

My mom and dad volunteered to keep Miss Priss last night and watch her today for us!  Poor thing, she woke up at 3 this morning and dad was rocking her and her kitty, feeding her a bottle!  (Such good grandparents!)  Dad said when she woke up this morning she started calling him Bubba! haha

Kitty is a very important part of LJ's day by the way!  We have to have kitty for bed time and playtime!  I said NO STUFFED ANIMALS.....and my mom bought her this cat which of course she loves.  Here is a pic of her from earlier this week holding Kitty.

Here are a few pics mom got of them this morning!

I'm not sure what kind of conversation they were having, but I love how those 2 look at each other!  I'm so thankful to have a dad that wants to be a huge part of my daughter's life!

After I picked LJ up from dad, we made a stop by the bank to see Nana. (my mom)  Lucy Jane got her first sticker and balloon!  She wasn't sure what to do with the balloon, but it sure was cute to watch her play!  Their little minds are so curious!

Lucy Jane is such a Joy!  She is always happy and full of life!  I am SO thankful God chose ME to be her Mommy!
