Happy 8 months, Baby Boy!

Once again, I am shocked at how quickly time is going! You are 8 months old!!!! How is this?

You are the happiest little guy! I absolutely love how much you love your sister! I think it's really funny when you steal her puppy!!! She gets so aggrivated...and you just giggle!

You sit up, scoot backwards, and wiggle everywhere....no crawling yet and I'm kinda okay with that! Your favorite place is still in my arms, and I hope that never changes!

You like to sit by me while I put on my makeup!

You love playing with Lucy Jane!

You have been cutting some teeth! Sour gummy worms help with that!

You are enjoying big boy foods now! Lucy Jane snuck you a few French fries! You loved them!

Sweet babies playing while I was packing for our trip!

Your smile melts my heart every time!

You are such a big boy!!! You were all dressed up for your sisters ballet recital!

My prayer for you is that you have a tender heart for others! I love how you always light up our home with your smile and bring so much happiness into our hearts! You are a special little boy! You are loved!

Oh, Dug uh luss!!!!!

Well....most of you know I am not an animal person. I don't hate animals, but I don't have this over the top love for them like some do. For some reason, I had "puppy fever" Monday night bad! When I get something in my head, I, like a little kid, get so excited and tend to make irrational impulse decisions!

Tuesday morning I called several breeders and found Lucy Jane the cutest little black puppy!

I arranged for Haley to go pick the puppy up, potty train him ha! And bring him to us when she comes home for thanksgiving! By Tuesday night, I had come to my senses! I was refunded my deposit and no longer getting a puppy!

Back track: my history with dogs isn't the best! When I was pregnant with Lucy Jane I had this lovely "puppy fever" and got a lab puppy! After I had Lucy Jane, I got rid of Luke and this lovely new puppy! 6 months later Luke was back with us!

When Lucy Jane turned two, I had the bright idea to get her 2 puppies! Rich and I drove to this puppy mill in Muldrow, Oklahoma and brought home these lovelies!

They made it on a beach vacation with us...and then found new homes shortly after! Two little puppies were not for me!
Like I said, I don't have the best history with animals!

A few weeks ago, we went to the fall festival at our church. My rule was no goldfish! Of course, rich won two goldfish. One went to Lucy Jane's sweet friend, and the other came home with us. After a couple days it was still swimming, so I decided to invest in a bigger bowl for the thang!

Showing off their fish!

She loved sweet Bubbles!

Last Saturday, we found Bubbles like this...floating on his side. Sad morning for our family! We had a small funeral and flushed the sweet boy right down the toilet.

So all this brings me to DOUGLAS.  I offered to take Lucy Jane to get a new fish yesterday. She quickly informed me that she had changed her mind and really wanted a cat. In her words, it would be her buddy and sleep with her! (Ughhh) I couldn't say no! We went to an animal shelter and ended up at Petco to adopt a cat that would perfectly fit our family! Ha!
He was already named...and Lucy Jane didn't want to change it!

Here's "Dug uh Lus" on the ride home!

Showing him his food and water...

And yes, sleeping in her bed!

Rich was surprised to find a new member to our family when he got home...but he will learn to love him! 😁
Hope Luke can learn to get along with him soon, too!

Lucy Jane is head over heels...and that's all that matters right! Love our animal adventures!

Fun, Fun, Fun

What a fun few days we have had, but boy are we tired!!!

Thursday, we met My aunt, Darla, and cousin, Piper in alma to bring Piper home with us for the night! Lucy Jane tells EVERYONE that Piper is her best friend and she was super excited about her coming to stay the night! She wanted her to be her big sister for the night!

We ate Mexican before heading home! :)

Saturday, Lucy Jane and I had a quick trip to the park while Kaykor was napping at Nana's!

She loves the park! I love seeing how excited she gets about everything!

All smiles for some FOOD!!! He is one happy little boy!

We ran some errands in town on Saturday afternoon! Kaylor got some snuggles in the backseat while Lucy Jane was passed out!

Lucy Jane and Bubba ate supper like this....

These two have a mind of their own!

Story time and snuggles on Saturday night! Not sure how nana misses out on the pictures, cuz Lucy Jane loves snuggles with her too!!!

We decided to bake cookies...we had a crown cookie cutter! They didn't quite turn out like we had planned! Whoops!

She was proud anyway! :)

We saw Papa Sunday afternoon!

Then, nana loaded us up with lots of goodies to add to our house! We drove home redneck style!

Fun, fun weekend! Love relaxing at mom and dads! :) they spoil us a little!

I am a Hoarder!!!

I feel like I have become a hoarder!!! I am tired of clutter and holding into everything to just pile in the attic! I have decided to start selling items that we no longer use! All items will be in excellent condition!

They will vary from kids clothes, shoes, women's and men's clothes and shoes, and house items!

Follow my Instagram @happybabiesfullheart. I will be listing my items there!

My Happy Place

It seems like we are always 'going' and 'doing' something. I like being home. I like having all my people under one roof together. Home is my happy place! We have had such a fun week at home! This makes me happy!

Earlier in the week, we drove out to this sweet couples house and bought some pumpkins!

Okay...maybe more than just "some"!!!

A couple girlfriends, Jessica and Lissa, came over on Wednesday morning and we made a huge mess trying to be creative with these beauties! It was so fun! We were so dirty! (Ok, Lucy Jane and I were anyway) :) I took Lucy Jane's clothes and put them straight in the trash can! But...she had a BLAST!

I let her paint her own pumpkins and add them to our porch! She loved it!

I like color!!! :)

And my favorite...duck tape leopard pumpkin!

Thursday morning, I had the kids pictures made! I took the kids to see Mrs. Hannah at Ever After Portraiture and Boutique! You can see her stuff at www.everafterportraits.com She does fantastic work and was super good with the kiddos!

I can't wait to see the finished product!
Kaylor wore clothes in most of the pictures :) but u just have to capture that chubby goodness while ya can!

Tonight, we are at home! Snuggled on the couch in the playroom! Lucy Jane is playing! Love her creativity!

Rich is snuggled with the Christmas blanket that we use year round! Dollar General find I think!!

And sweet Kaylor is snoozing! (For now...he will be up again soon!) still trying to tell him he should just sleep all night long!

Home is my happy place.

Oh! Bedtime....

Bedtime is always quite the event at our house...but tonight proved to be quite comical!

Lucy Jane (like most 3 year olds) always has a million reasons why she can't go to bed...

-her bed is not comfortable
-her room is pink and she wants it painted rainbow
-Jesus made her a little girl...and little girls aren't supposed to be 'locked up in their rooms' ha! Still laughing over this one!

These were just three of the reasons she gave tonight!

We thought we lost puppy...which got bedtime started off a little dramatic! Searched everywhere , Called TJ Maxx, and then finally found it under her box house!

Rich and I were sitting on the couch watching tv and I kept hearing something! She had made a pallet in the stairs and fell off! :) so funny!

We put her back in bed....

This is when she gave me the spill about not supposed to be locked up in her room!

Shhh...she needed a snack! We snuck a few crackers while I was folding laundry!

Back to bed! Tummy full, bladder empty, puppy in hand...surely it's bedtime now!

Then this happens!!! Yes, she walked down every step with this blanket over her because you know if you cover your head people can't see you!!! We were dying!

Finally, thought we had her tucked in for the night! And she's back downstairs! Told her to get in my bed....

5 minutes later...

Passed out! :)

This little girl keeps us on our toes...and laughing constantly! So thankful for her fun personality! Like my mom told me...enjoy these days...this too shall pass! Soaking up all of this little girl that I can!
