Picture update!

I am so behind, so I am just going to update several of my pictures off my phone!

Kaylor is 11 months old now! Crazy how he changes so much everyday, and Lucy Jane is looking more like a little girl instead of my baby. I can hardly stand it!

I can't believe how big Lucy Jane looks in this picture. This picture was taken at Little Giggles in Bentonville on Friday. We met some friends to play, and Lucy Jane spent most of her time on the monkey bars. She said she would keep practicing until she gets it just right!

And here she is...practicing!!! She only face planted once! Haha!

Kaylor loves this little car! I didn't think he was big enough to ride or play anywhere near a toy this big!!! (I'm in major denial at how quickly he's growing)

These pictures were on my phone so they aren't the best quality, but he sure does like all the boy toys they had! Poor kid has been playing with little piddly toys and baby dolls his sister leaves laying around! It's time for me to hook him up with some boy stuff!!!

This was taken today as I was trying to get supper ready! He was just hanging on my leg the whole time saying, Momma!

Then he cuddled up to his Daddy so I could finish!

As I'm typing this, Lucy Jane comes in the living room from peacefully coloring in the kitchen...and says, "mommy, daddy, look what someone did to me?????"

She have covered herself in the crayons!

Last night, we went to Fast Lanes and Lucy Jane cracks me up with her hand ALWAYS on her hip!!!

These two finally got to sit in the big buggy together at Wal-Mart! You'd have thought I had taken Lucy Jane to Disney world she was so excited!

We've done lots of crafts on the cold days...

And sometimes she lets Kaylor in on the fun...

And sometimes she doesn't! :(

Kaylor got his first haircut! He had a little mullet going on so we had to take care of it!

He was happy about the sucker!

These sweet cousins took a drive through the gentry zoo...while Lucy Jane screamed in the back that the animals were going to eat them!

She is all about going through the self check out! She wants to ring up all the items herself and pretend she's the "best checker ever!"

These babies have my heart!!!

Broken Hallelujah

First of all, I am not a Blogger, writer, or expert on any topic! Just felt the need to disclose that before I started writing! I love to blog for the simple purpose of journaling our life and kiddo stuff to look back on and remember later!

With that being said, I felt the need to share what was on my heart! A couple weeks ago I was driving down the road and for some reason there was no chaotic noise coming from the back seats! :) (not normal I know)  I was listening to the radio, and the song Broken Hallelujah by The Afters came on. I had never heard the song before and the lyrics quickly caught my attention. When we got home, I googled the lyrics so I could read them.

Broken Hallelujah

I can barely stand right now.
Everything is crashing down,
And I wonder where you are.

I try to find the words to pray.
I don't always know what to say,
But you're the one that can hear my heart.

Even though I don't know what your plan is,
I know you're making beauty from these ashes.

I've seen joy and I've seen pain.
On my knees, I call your name.
Here's my broken hallelujah.

With nothing left to hold onto,
I raise these empty hands to you.
Here's my broken hallelujah.

You know the things that have brought me here.
You know the story of every tear.
Cause you've been here from the very start.

Even though I don't know what your plan is,
I know you're making beauty from these ashes.

When all is taken away, don't let my heart be changed.
Let me ALWAYS sing hallelujah.
When I feel afraid, don't let my hope be erased.
Let me always sing hallelujah.

When I read the lyrics to the song I had just listened to, my heart became so convicted. There are so many going through a season that seems difficult. I have friends that have lost babies, lost jobs, struggling with family situations, financial issues that have them feeling crippled in life, and so many more things going on that we don't even know about.

We all have seasons to go through in life. There will be great times, good times, and times that seem unbearable...but we should still praise God through the storm. He desires our love, he wants us to depend on him, he craves intimacy with us. The Lord never promises life will be easy, but he DOES promise to be there for us in EVERY season. Even when our praise is broken, we need to give it to him. When we aren't sure what to pray, he knows our hearts.

There is Hope in Jesus. He makes beauty from our ashes.

Romans 8:28 says, "We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him."

"At present you may be temporarily harassed by all kinds of trials. This is no accident. It happens to prove your faith which is infinitely more valuable than gold." 1 Peter 1:6-7

We will all have trials. The Bible says to lean on The Lord in times of trouble, let him know you trust him, give him your Broken Hallelujah.

Life Lately!

It is so cold here and sickness is everywhere!!! We have spent so many days cooped up in our pajamas playing, and I have loved every minute of it! (Mostly every minute :))

Lucy Jane is so creative and learning so much! She loves to paint, draw, color, play babies, board games, and her new found love is Netflix!

I told her the other night she couldn't watch a certain movie on netflix because it was rated PG, and I hadn't seen it yet! I said, "Lucy Jane, you are "3"! You can watch a movie for 3 year olds!" She was so serious and looked at Rich and I and said, "I am not 3, I am 14, and I am a big sister!!! I can watch it!"

I couldn't even believe I was having to have the conversation with her, but her replies keep me rolling!

She had taken what we both thought was a dollar bill out of my purse and put it in her pocket to take to school! Her teacher gave it back to me the next day, saying her music teacher saw it and held it for her! I asked Lucy Jane why her music teacher had to take her money away during class? (Expecting a response about her playing with her money, and she should not have been) oh no! She said , "oh mom! She's a mean one!"

So witty for such a little thang! :)

Kaylor is everywhere!!! Into everything!  He is cutting his top two teeth and it breaks my heart! He LOVES playing with his sister! :) he will just leap out of my arms into hers with the biggest grin and squeals! I pray they always love each other and hold their sibling relationship as so very important!

Lucy Jane got a much needed trim, and Kaylor got his hair styled!!!

Big 10 Month old!

Playing Dr. With Luke! He's such a good sport!

These two are trouble!!!

Lucy Jane is really ready for the cold weather to go away!!! She wants to go outside and play!

Love her imagjnation!

Enjoying the days at home, but excited about Spring time to play outside again! Love these sweet babies and SO thankful to be able to spend my days with them!

9 months Old!

Well, Kaylor is 9 months old! Crazy! Sweetest baby boy! He weighs 17 pounds and is FINALLY sleeping through the night! Wahoo!!!!!!! This is truly something to celebrate! He can say momma, (and I am not just interpreting mushy sounds) hi, and get anywhere he wants to go by scooting/crawling! He doesn't have the proper format down but his way works! I'm hoping that he will figure out the right way, but whatever works!

He has found the light sockets...in every room of our our house...! And he just smiles when I spat his hand and say No!

He has crazy hair......it sticks up everywhere!

He has a sister that adores him and carries him wherever he wants to go...and some places he doesn't want to go!

This little boy is loved and spoiled rotten!

He loves Luke...and could stare at him forever!

He loves his Daddy, too! :)

He couldn't quit staring at Santa!

He loved all the Christmas shopping trips!

And sisters Christmas parties.....

He just loves being with Lucy Jane...period! :)

Especially when she dresses him up! :)

Happy Nine months baby boy! So glad we get to share this life with you! :)

Cozy Kiddos

We'll, the first snow of the winter has hit our area! I remember feeling so disappointed the first winter that we lived here because we did not get any snow! This winter is already making up for it! I love the way it looks out the window, but I'm not a huge fan of freezing outside! Thankfully, we never lost power like many of our friends and family did! We stayed cozied up inside and played tons!

This is a picture of our playroom before we picked it up for the 100th time yesterday! So glad that we have lots to play with, but goodness staying home creates lots of messes!!!

This little activity can entertain my kids for an hour!!! They love playing in the shower, and sometimes if I am lucky, the hot water makes them ready to cuddle up for a long winters nap!

I finally just decided to set up shop and enjoy a book and some coffee!!!

We had yummy food and even had friends over to share it with us! Always thankful for 4-wheel drive! :)

Lots of hugs between these two the past couple of days!

Lucy Jane has played and played with her baby dolls, brother, and cat! Love her imagination! She keeps us laughing!!!

Kaylor has loved playing with his buddy, Luke! I think Luke likes all the extra attention since we've all been at home so much!

We've loved having Daddy home, too! Lucy Jane has loved all the playtime outside with him and he has enjoyed seeing how many messes I clean up in a day! (Okay, maybe I liked him seeing that) :)

This boy loves to eat! His new favorite is honey nut Cheerios!!! We have all eaten way too much! Only fun to snack on junk food!

Our sweet Elf, Elfie, has been faithful to remember us during this weather!!!

Hoping to use Lucy Jane's new sled today when Rich gets home from work! So much fun, going a little stir crazy, but enjoying these times all "cooped up"! :)

Hope you all have enjoyed the winter wonderland!
